I'm proud to represent one of the most diverse communities in Washington.

 

It's clear from the pandemic that our diverse communities are severely 

impacted from our struggling economy.

 

This includes critical issues like food scarcity, not being able to pay mortgages, getting behind on rent, homelessness, and access to unemployment.

​

Next session will be a new challenge for lawmakers as we navigate these unprecedented crises.

 

I am proud to be leading the fight for workers to have access to unemployment, for families who lost their jobs to have access to rental assistance, and to strengthen food security in our community. 

​

We need to reset our economy to ensure the most vulnerable residents among us have access to affordable health care, child care and the ability for seniors to retire with dignity.
